Happy Spring!
Well, here it is....April begins tomorrow. Hooray for Spring!!!
We have had too much going on lately. I can take the spring busyness, but I do hope I don't have to add going to the funeral home to any of my to-do lists for a while. I have personally had enough, and I know that Connor sure has. For those that don't know, March has been a sad month. We lost a dog, Dusty....she was a good dog and friend. Then the next day a traffic accident claimed the father of one of Connor's friends. (This was a guy who Mary and Kim knew better than I did, but Connor had spent the night at their house, and liked him pretty well.)
Last week was Spring Break.....and Thursday one of Connor's friends was driving a golf cart (alone!) and flipped it pinning himself under the cart and killing him. Yesterday (Monday) was his services. Connor was pretty sad, and will really miss James. So much sadness in such a short time for a 9 year old is hard to witness as a Mom. I liked James, he was a fun loving, sweet boy. It is so hard to know what to tell your son when he says "I just want him not to be dead." It'll break your heart.
Well, enough sadness. Mary's "scare" turned out to be nothing to worry about, which is awesome!! And we have some random tulips coming up in the middle of the yard, which is odd, but fun! We have made some progress in outdoor clean up, and flower bed planting, and are looking forward to even more. I'll post some photos....I promise.
Hope all are well, and that SOMEONE out there still cares about this blog. I know we should update more! We'll try. : )
Here are a few photos of some of the work we've been doing at the ol' homestead.

The Archaeology Dig Begins

Wow! I remember that patio...

Still looks pretty good.....more yet to be uncovered though.
