I love this time of year....the beautiful weather, pretty leaves, pumpkins....ahhh, fall. The only problem with fall is that it means winter is coming, and I never feel older than when I'm cold. Plus, ugh...gas bills, "Mom, I can't find my other glove", and the joys of people who can't drive if there are two flakes of snow. But I can remember the joys of every season as a kid.....there is always something fun about every season. We just have to put our old fuddy duddy age aside and remember it, right? I can hardly wait until I have enough leaves in the yard to get a decent pile to jump in....it takes more and more every year to make it not hurt.
Well, here's to fall, may you all have a happy, and fun one.
That second photo reminds me, we are doing a Heroes' Tree at our library. This is a nationwide thing to honor anyone who has ever served in the military. A very cool thing, I think. We had an article in the paper, and I'll be adding it to the
library's blog today, so check it out, and if you don't live here, you should see if the library where you live is doing anything. I'll probably post a photo or two here too.
